![]() ![]() I did feel that I was not treated welcoming and it was assumed I would be taking any trade value and didn’t have any background or reason to not accept it. I’ve bought a lot of cars and as a woman who shops alone, some car dealers treat you well and some don’t when you come alone. I was offered a very low offer and they just assumed I would take it. They do have great used car prices however it’s because they low-ball trade-ins. I would go elsewhere for the best trade-in value for your vehicle. The only maintenance issue disclosed at time of purchase was the wheel bearing issue. With my entire experience I feel that they were dishonest, shady, and sold me the extended warranty so they would not have to pay for the repairs. So again, Goben lied about replacing the breaks. Meaning they need to be urgently replaced. I have a receipt showing that the brakes are in the yellow zone. In addition to the transmission issue, I picked up my vehicle. They said they would escalate this issue. I contacted Goben that I wanted to return my vehicle at this point. Funny how they did not send my car to Ford when I asked them to thoroughly inspect the transmission. Goben also mentioned this when they sent my car for repairs to Ford for the wheel bearing. However, Goben works with them on a regular basis to maintain their cars. They also mentioned that Goben does not have the equipment to diagnosis transmission issues. Even though I was under the 100 day Goben Warranty, they ended up using my extended warranty which I paid the deductible for the repair. They immediately stated I had a transmission issue. I again asked for a specific review of the transmission & engine. I decided to get a second opinion from the Ford Dealership in Middleton. My husband had an out of town work meeting to attend at the same time our kids had school functions).Īnyway, I got the vehicle back and I still noticed something off. Service Manager ignored my request even after mentioned we needed another option to get our kids and my husband places. They held the car for another two weeks without offering a loaner vehicle (sales man said I could potential obtain a loaner. They also mentioned that they noticed the breaks were bad and would fix that issue to provide good customer service. They came back and said it was an issue with the Cadillac converter and motor mounts. I specifically asked that they check the transmission and engine for issues. I took the car back to take advantage of the 100 day warranty. Shortly after taking ownership of the vehicle, I noticed some issues. I thought great! They are making sure I leave with a sound vehicle. They held it for the first 2 weeks of purchase, stating there was a minor issue with the wheel bearings that needed to be resolved before I took ownership of the car. ![]() I purchased a 2014 Ford Escape from Goben Cars in March 2022. I was ok with that because wheel bearings are a simple fix. They said a Wheel bearing issue would cause the car to not drive well. I should have been leary when they stated that they only wanted me to drive around the parking lot for a test drive. Non-disclosure, potential fraud, lying to the customer about supposed maintenance issues they fixed, selling the customer an extended warranty to cover costs they know the costumer will incur, and not abiding by their own 100 day warranty.
